Welding robots are modern, automated devices that combine knowledge of computers, electronics, sensors, artificial intelligence and many other aspects. There are two main components of a welding robot: the robot body and the automated welding equipment. Welding robots its easy to achieve stability and improvement of the welded product, can achieve 24-hour continuous production, significantly improve production efficiency, while replacing manual work in harmful environments for long periods of time. Directly used for welding are arc welding, resistance welding, gas welding and other welding robots.

I. Components of a welding robot
1、Execution part: This is the mechanical structure of the welding robot that transmits force or torque and performs specific actions to complete the welding task. This includes the body, arms, wrists, hands, etc. of the welding robot.
2、Control part: The electronic and electrical components and computer system responsible for controlling the mechanical structure to complete the welding operation between the specified positions according to the specified procedures and the required trajectory.
3、Power source and transmission part: it can provide and transmit mechanical energy for the execution part of the components and devices, the power source is mostly electric or hydraulic.
4, process protection part: mainly including robot welding power supply, wire feeding, gas feeding device, etc.

Second, the degree of freedom of the welding robot selection
The arm and wrist of a welding robot are the basic action parts. The arm of a robot of any design has three degrees of freedom to ensure that the end of the arm can reach any point within its working range. The three degrees of freedom of the wrist are the rotary movements around three axes of space perpendicular to each other, X, Y and Z. These are commonly referred to as roll, pitch and deflection movements.
